Strength & Motivation

Ephesians 2:8 – “God saved you by His grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.”

Before I go to bed tonight, I just want to take time out to encourage you. I want to encourage you to keep pressing through the chaos, the endless duties, and the late nights and early mornings.

2 Corinthians 12:9 – “…My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness…”

Needless to say, I have been having a hard time adjusting to my transition from Louisiana to Texas. Hence, it’s been two months since my last post! The tasks ahead of me have “seemed” unattainable. I have been away from my daughter a lot more than I am used to. My mind has really been challenged, as it pertains to succeeding in my career, parenting, serving, etc; it has just seemed out of sight. You know, that feeling like you’re fighting to no avail… It’s been a long two months y’all… LOL.

I had a chance to go to Bible Study a week ago and as we worshipped a question dropped in my Spirit, “What does My grace mean to you?” Quite frankly, I had no answer. Truth be told, I had lost sight of God as well. Like, my life just took off! It felt so good being in church that evening. I was so drained and weak, and in need of a Word from God. As I sat there, just thinking, reflecting about God’s grace in my life I couldn’t help but express gratitude for God showing up for me when I had clearly lost sight of Him and how much He TRULY had my life under control… If I would just be still… (Psalm 46:10)

Psalm 46:10 – “Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth.”

You know, I don’t think it was a coincidence that Jesus had to remind Martha in Luke 10 that Mary had discovered what was really worth being concerned about! Speaking for myself, I know I can be Martha: worried and upset about the small stuff as if I don’t know what it means to have faith. And these last few weeks in my life have been completely draining until God does what He does best, CAME TO MY RESCUE!!!

Therefore, I just want to encourage you to keep pressing. I know some of us are struggling to find the energy to continue. Some days seem hopeless. But God said that we need to REMEMBER that “His grace is all we need”. Paul tells us to “press toward the mark” in Philippians 3:14! God is our Restorer. He makes all things new. He gives us the strength we need to be all that He has called us to be. I put that movie clip up there, as a reminder for us. It may seem as if we go unnoticed by people or that we’re not being productive in our child(ren)’s lives, but God sees us. And as women, mothers, we’re bearing fruit for His Kingdom.

Single mother,

Please know, I am fighting with and for you. Remember through every obstacle, tear, anxiety attack, or whatever else you may be facing God is IN control. He is God and God all by Himself. Yes, you’re tired. Yes, you’re overwhelmed. But God said, “You’re doing a great job. Keep pressing. There is a Heavenly prize waiting on you that FAR outweighs anything this world could ever give you.”
